Botox party invitations are sweeping across America, with hosts serving up cocktails and Botox injections at these parties. Botox, touted as having the ability to erase wrinkles is giving men and women a chance at an eternal look alternative, although the look is temporary.

Botox is related to a toxin called Botulism. Most people know this as food poisoning. Boutulinum toxin places your muscles and tissues in temporary stasis by immobilizing them. Movement creates creases, creases become wrinkles. Botox stills this process.

After the diluted Boutulinum (Botox) is injected into the muscles, the muscles cease their spasms. This treatment lasts three to eight months, and is not without some risks including soreness in the area of injection, an unwanted weakening of the muscles leading to a droopy look, and more serious side effects to the point of flu-like symptoms.
